Review dates now show the real date

The Review date source dropdown is no longer shown in the Product Reviews admin. Review dates are the dates the reviews were written, which is what the FTC fake-reviews rule and the EU Omnibus directive require of how reviews are presented.

Until now, the setting allowed a shop to display recent dates instead of real ones.

What's new

The dropdown has been removed from Product Reviews settings, Main Widget Settings, and the Reviews information section.

What this means for you

If your shop uses the default real-dates setting, nothing changes and there is nothing to do. If your shop is currently set to show recent dates, your display behavior stays exactly as it is today, and you can ask our support team to switch you to real dates whenever you want. New shops can no longer opt into shifted dates.
