Any products option in Related Products
Related Products has a new Any products selection criterion. It fills the carousel with your best sellers whenever the other criteria do not have enough products to fill the available slots, so the widget stays useful on a small or new store.
Until now, when Smart Match had little to work with, the carousel showed only one or two products, or nothing at all.
What's new
Any products is off by default. This option existed before as Random products and was removed in early 2026, which left affected stores with a partly filled or empty widget. This release brings it back with best sellers first.
What this means for you
Most shops see no change, because the option is off. Shops that still had the old Random products setting saved get that behavior restored as Any products. For nearly all of them it sits in the last position, so it only adds products after the other matches have been made. Shops whose widget was completely empty will start showing a best-sellers carousel again.
What you need to do
Nothing, unless you want it off. To turn it off, go to Related Products, Settings, Selection criteria, uncheck Any products, and save.
